Seven Split boat parties compared on price, timings, meeting point and what you actually get, including which are day trips to the Blue Lagoon and which are night crawls with no swim at all.
What You Should Know
- Two formats, not one. The €40 day boats run six hours to the Blue Lagoon with an hour in the water. The €20 night boats run about four hours across three venues with no swim at all.
- The six group listings all specify an 18 and over minimum; the private charter publishes no age policy. Check-in also closes before departure, at 14:40 and 19:45 on two of them.
- €20 to €50 per person. Only the welcome shot is free: guests report €6 beers, €8 cocktails and €20 buckets, with a card minimum near €20, and outside drinks including water are confiscated at boarding.
- The Blue Lagoon stop is deep water well out from shore with typically one ladder back aboard, not the shallow turquoise of the listing photos. Weak swimmers should consider a night boat instead.
Boat Parties in Split
A Split boat party is the most-booked nightlife activity in Croatia's second city, and it comes in two shapes that get sold under the same name. The daytime version is a six hour cruise leaving the waterfront around 15:00, with resident DJs, a stocked bar and roughly an hour anchored at the Blue Lagoon to swim, returning about 20:00 and rolling into a club. The night version is around four hours from about 20:00, moving between a pre-party bar, the boat and a nightclub, with no swim stop and half the price tag.
The other thing the listings do not tell you is how few companies are behind them. Of the seven trips compared here, Tipsea Split runs three and Out to Sea Split runs two, which means some options that look like competing choices are the same crew and often the same boat on a different schedule. That leaves three decisions worth making: day or night, big boat or private charter, and which waterfront bar you need to be standing outside by early afternoon. Boat parties also pair naturally with the rest of a Split trip, so it is worth reading this alongside our guides to Blue Cave boat trips, kayak tours, and the Split food tours that make a better use of the evening before.
Split Boat Party: Real Footage
The hardest thing to judge from listing photos is scale: how full the deck actually gets, how much room there is to move, and what the crowd looks like once the music starts. This is footage from a Split boat party on the Adriatic, filmed by a guest rather than by us, and it answers that better than any description.
If that looks like your kind of afternoon, the table below sorts the seven trips by price, timings and whether they stop to swim at all. If it looks like too much, the smaller yacht party and the private charter cover the same coast with a fraction of the people on board.
Out to Sea Split: Blue Lagoon Boat Party
The most-reviewed boat party in Split by a wide margin, at 7,302 against 3,380 for the next closest, and still holding a flat 5.0. Six hours with a full hour anchored at the Blue Lagoon, a pre-party before boarding, professional photos included, and free entry to the club afterwards, all for the same €40 the shorter options charge.
Book NowOur Take
Read the timings column before the price column. Two of these close check-in at a fixed minute, 14:40 and 19:45, and both leave from waterfront bars that are a ten minute walk apart on two different addresses. Turning up at the right bar at the wrong time, or the wrong bar at the right time, is the single way people lose €40 on this page, and it is far more consequential than the €10 that separates most of the tickets.

Real Reviews from Recent Travelers
Here's what recent travelers had to say after their trip, straight from verified bookings.
The hour of swimming is exactly the right length
I did this activity as part of my vacation in Split at the end of August, and all I have to say is that it's exceptional!!!!! You can't come to Split without going to this boat party. The music is mainly mix/house and there's a really good DJ. All the people on the boat are very nice, both the men and the women, and everyone is respectful. There's 1 hour of swimming, and it's perfect, really the right length!!!! The afterparty is in a small club in the city, and everyone is there, so it's not to be missed, and the music is very good!!!! I had a really great time
Music held up all day, not just at the start
This is for sure the biggest and best boat party in Europe! The dj played great music all day and the vibes were unreal. I'd recommend to anyone coming to split to book this boat party!
Water at the Blue Lagoon was clear and not cold
By far the best activity I've done in Split! The staff was really amazing, the music was great, house music for all tastes, thanks to the DJ! Really cheap at all for what it is, I'll go back often if I live here, a little time swimming in the Blue Lagoon, very clear water and not even cold ^^ a big thank you to the team for their kindness and their work 😊

A day boat runs six hours from check-in to the harbour, of which roughly four are actually at sea and one is anchored at the Blue Lagoon. The night boats run about four hours across three venues. One thing to set expectations on: the music is house-dominant across all of these boats, with some pop and R&B mixed in, and guests who do not like house say so. Most guests find that the day divides into three unequal parts: a long social afternoon on deck, one concentrated hour in the water, and a club that most of the boat migrates to afterwards. The timings below follow our top pick, the Out to Sea day party.
Our take (check-in is a hard cutoff, and the bars are different): This is the practical thing to get right. Out to Sea checks in at Jimmy Bar on Obala Lazareta 3; Tipsea checks in at the Inbox Bar on Obala kneza Domagoja 1, up a flight of steps by the Tuđman monument. Those are two separate addresses on the same stretch of waterfront, and Tipsea's desk shuts at 14:40 while the night boat's shuts at 19:45. Screenshot the address on your voucher rather than trusting that "the waterfront" is specific enough.
Our take (only the shot is free): Every ticket here includes a welcome shot and nothing else to drink. Guests consistently report €6 for a beer, €8 for a 0.25l cocktail and €20 for a 0.75l bucket, which most call club prices rather than tourist prices, though a steady minority find them steep. Outside alcohol is not permitted on the big boats, one operator does not open its bars until 18:00, and the club afterwards is a separate spend again. Plan the drinks budget as its own line rather than assuming €40 covers the day. Two further details guests report repeatedly: bars often carry a card minimum of around €20, and outside drinks including water are confiscated at boarding.
The swim stop deserves more attention than the listings give it, because it is not the shallow turquoise scene the photos suggest. The boats anchor in deep water some way out into the lagoon, there is typically a single ladder for a few hundred people, and getting back aboard is reported as a scrum. Most guests love it and several describe it as the highlight of the day. The useful detail, which took a lot of reading to establish, is that flotation exists but is not handed out: guests who asked were given life jackets and rafts, including one who explained they could not swim and was told which staff would be watching, while others who said nothing found there was nothing obvious to hold on to. If anyone in your group is a weak swimmer, ask at check-in rather than at the swim stop.
Food is the other gap between expectation and reality. There is a galley rather than a menu: crisps, toasties and pizza, generally not served until around 17:45, and more than one guest reports reaching the front of the queue to find the pizza gone. Eat before you board rather than planning to eat on the water.
Best Boat Parties in Split
Seven listings, four companies, and two genuinely different nights out. What separates them is whether you swim, how long you are at sea, and whether you want a boat to yourself.
Out to Sea Split: Blue Lagoon Boat Party
The volume leader by a distance at 7,302 reviews, and still a flat 5.0. Six hours from a 15:00 sail to a 20:00 return, with about an hour anchored at the Blue Lagoon, resident DJs across two decks, professional photos and WiFi thrown in, and free entry to the club that runs on until around 23:00. Check in at Jimmy Bar on Obala Lazareta from 14:00 for the pre-party. We think the tradeoff is worth naming: recent guests describe sailings of 250 to 300 people, which makes this the busiest boat on the page, and the guests who rate it poorly are almost always describing the crowd at the swim stop rather than the party itself. Shoulder-season sailings draw noticeably fewer people, so the crowding complaint is largely a July and August problem.
Check availabilityTipsea Split: Night Boat Party
Half the price of the day boats at €20, and 4,327 reviews at 4.9 says it delivers. Around four hours from a 20:00 departure across three venues, with two free shots, a DJ and a panoramic cruise of the lit-up coastline before finishing in a nightclub. No swim stop, which is the whole point: this is a night out that happens to include a boat rather than a day at sea. We'd book this if the club entry and the queue are what you want handled, and we'd ask a promoter for a code first: guests report paying around €15 rather than the €20 list price.
Check availabilityTipsea Split: Blue Lagoon Boat Party
The same €40 and the same 5.0 as our top pick, on 3,380 reviews. The differences are small but real: a water slide at the Blue Lagoon, access to the Olife Beach Club, and a discount on Brač trips, against bars that only open at 18:00. Check-in closes at 14:40 sharp at the Inbox Bar on Obala kneza Domagoja, a different address from our top pick.
Check availabilitySplit After Dark: Night Boat Party
Out to Sea's night-time operation, and the more structured of the two €20 crawls. Three venues with a free shot at each, drinking games, party guides and event photography, ending on VIP entry to a nightclub. Rated 4.9 across 2,506 reviews. Pick this over its Tipsea rival if you want the night organised for you rather than just a boat with a DJ on it.
Check availabilityTipsea Split: Blue Lagoon Yacht Party
The €50 option and the earliest start, meeting at 13:00 for a 14:00 departure. Five hours rather than six, a welcome drink, the Blue Lagoon swim and an island beach club stop, plus free VIP club entry. Only 55 reviews, so far less established than its stablemates, but it is the closest thing here to a party boat that is not a crowd.
Check availabilityRiaTours: Private Bachelorette Boat Party
The only private option, and the only one priced per boat rather than per head: €850 for up to 12, which works out around €71 each at full capacity and a lot more if there are six of you. Four and a half hours from Split or Trogir at 09:00 or 14:00, with a skipper, two bottles of prosecco, an hour at the Blue Lagoon, beach bar stops and your own music over Bluetooth.
Check availabilitySundown Sessions: Sunset Boat Party
Six hours from a 15:00 sail out of Split harbour, with international DJs, the Blue Lagoon swim and free club entry afterwards. At 4.3 across 778 reviews it carries the lowest rating here, but the reviews suggest a different product rather than a worse one: guests describe a noticeably less packed boat, drinking games and hosts working the crowd, and a more laid-back feel. The trade-off is that a few report the bar being pricier than on the bigger boats. We'd shortlist this for anyone who read the crowding complaints about the bigger boats and wants the same route with fewer people on it.
Check availabilityEvery price is per person except the private charter, which is a flat €850 for the whole boat. Budget separately for drinks on all of them: only the welcome shot is free.
Day Boat or Night Boat? The Real Difference
From what we've seen in reviews, this is the choice the listings obscure, and the one people most often get wrong. Both formats are sold as a "Split boat party" and the titles barely differ. They are not versions of the same thing.
The day boats: six hours and a Blue Lagoon swim
Four of the seven are daytime Blue Lagoon cruises. You check in early afternoon at a waterfront bar for a pre-party, sail around 15:00, cruise with DJs, anchor at the Blue Lagoon for roughly an hour of swimming, then head back for about 20:00 and carry on into a club. At €40 to €50 these are the expensive end, and the hour in the water is what you are paying for. Bring swimwear, a towel and sun cover, because there is very little shade on a packed open deck.
The night boats: four hours and three venues
Two are night crawls at €20, roughly half the price and about two thirds the length. You check in around 19:00 or later, move between a pre-party bar, the boat and a nightclub, and there is no swim stop at all. The cruise is a panoramic loop of the lit-up coastline rather than a trip to anywhere. This is where tours really differ: one night operator runs a bus to the club and the other a short walk, so ask which before you assume you are being driven. If you want a structured night out with entry sorted and a free shot at each stop, this is the better buy; if you pictured yourself in the water, it is the wrong booking entirely.
The private charter: your own boat
The bachelorette trip is the outlier on every axis. It is the only private option, the only one priced per boat, the only one with morning departures, and the only one where you control the playlist. At €850 for up to 12 it is competitive with the group boats if you fill it and expensive if you do not.
Who actually runs these
Worth knowing before you treat this as seven independent choices: Tipsea Split operates three of them (a day boat, the yacht party and a night crawl) and Out to Sea Split operates two (a day boat, plus the night crawl it brands as Split After Dark). Comparing the two Tipsea day options against each other is a real comparison. Comparing a Tipsea listing against a Tipsea listing expecting a different company is not.
How Much Does a Split Boat Party Cost?
Split boat party tickets run €20 to €50 per person, plus €850 for the private charter. The gap between €20 and €40 is not quality, it is format: the cheap tickets are night crawls with no swim stop and the expensive ones are six hour day cruises. Drinks sit on top of all of them.
The Night Crawls
Both night boats cost the same and both are rated 4.9 on large review bases. About four hours across three venues, a free shot at each stop, a DJ on board and club entry at the end. No swim, no daylight, and half the time at sea. The best value on the page if a night out is what you want. We'd lean toward the night boats for anyone who would rather spend the money on the club and the crowd than on an hour of swimming.
The Day Boats
Three tickets sit here and all three are six hour cruises with the Blue Lagoon swim, a welcome shot, DJs and club entry afterwards. Two are rated 5.0 and one 4.3. You are paying double the night price for double the length and the hour in the water.
Smaller and Private
The €50 yacht party trades an hour of duration for a smaller boat and an island beach club stop. The €850 private charter is a flat fee for up to 12, which is about €71 each when full and poor value for a small group. Both are worth it for the format, not for extra inclusions.
What You Still Pay For
Drinks are the real cost. Recent guests report about €6 a beer, €8 a cocktail and €20 a bucket, with outside alcohol banned on the big boats, so six hours of drinking comfortably exceeds the ticket. One guest totted up €144 for a bottle of rum, mixers and four beers. Food is sold on board rather than included, and the after-party club is free to enter but not to drink in. Most people do not realise the club entry is where the ticket quietly pays for itself, since Split venues charge at the door and the wristband covers it.
Best value overall: €20 for a night crawl if you want the party, or €40 for a day boat if you want the Blue Lagoon. Paying €50 buys a smaller boat rather than a better one.
Who These Suit, and Who Should Skip Them
Boat parties in Split are a well-run, heavily reviewed product with ratings between 4.3 and 5.0 across every operator here. They are also emphatically not for everyone. In reality, the negative reviews cluster tightly around three things: the crowd, the food and the swim stop, and almost none of them is about the party itself.
Ideal for solo travellers
These are among the easiest bookings in Split to turn up to alone. The pre-party at a bar exists precisely so people meet before boarding, the boats are large and social, and guests travelling on their own consistently report having no trouble joining a group. The night crawls, with their drinking games and party guides, are built around this even more deliberately.
Everyone on board is 18 or over
Every party boat here enforces an 18 minimum, and that is not a formality: these are drinking events with nightclub entry attached. If you are travelling as a family, the Blue Cave island trips cover similar water with none of this.
Weak swimmers, and anyone who would rather stay dry
The hour at the Blue Lagoon is the core of the day ticket, so sitting it out means paying double for a stop you will watch. It is also the part that needs a clear head: deep water, a few hundred people and usually a single ladder back aboard. Anyone who would not be comfortable treading water in open sea for a while, in a crowd, should ask for a life jacket at check-in or book a night boat instead.
Think twice if you want a quiet cruise
Nothing here is a scenic boat trip with music on. These are loud, crowded, drink-led events on packed decks, which is exactly what the ratings reward. Anyone after the Dalmatian coast at a gentler pace is better served by a kayak tour or an island day trip.
Do not book the private charter for a small group
At €850 flat, the bachelorette boat only makes sense near its 12-person capacity. For four people that is over €210 each against €40 on a group boat, and the group boats have the DJs, the bars and the after-party.
Our Take
What stands out in guest reviews is that the sunset does more work than the listings suggest. Several guests note you cannot get that view from Split's harbour at all, and that the run back past the islands with the light going is what they remember rather than the DJ.
Tips for Your Split Boat Party
- Screenshot the meeting address, not just the tour name. Out to Sea checks in at Jimmy Bar on Obala Lazareta 3 and Tipsea at the Inbox Bar on Obala kneza Domagoja 1. Both are waterfront bars a short walk apart, and turning up at the wrong one is the easiest way to miss a boat that does not wait.
- Treat check-in time as the real departure time. Two of these close the desk at a fixed minute, 14:40 and 19:45, well before the boat leaves. Arriving in the first half of the window also gets you the pre-party you already paid for.
- Budget for drinks separately. Only the welcome shot is included. Recent guests report about €6 a beer, €8 a cocktail and €20 a bucket, though prices move between seasons. Outside alcohol is banned on the big boats, and one operator does not open its bars until 18:00, so bring cash or card expecting to spend.
- Bring swimwear under your clothes on the day boats. Changing space on a full deck is limited and the Blue Lagoon stop comes up mid-cruise. A towel and a dry bag for your phone are worth more than anything else you pack.
- There is almost no shade. Six hours on an open deck in a Dalmatian summer is a lot of sun before you factor in drinking. Sunscreen before you board, a hat that stays on in wind, and water between rounds.
- Travel light. Large bags are not welcome on the big boats and there is nowhere secure to leave anything. Take what fits in a small dry bag.
- Book July and August ahead. These are the busiest boats in Split in peak season and the popular departures fill first, which also means the best-reviewed operators sell out before the others.
- Eat before the day boats and after the night ones. Food on board is crisps, toasties and pizza, usually not served until around 17:45, and the pizza is reported to sell out almost immediately. A 15:00 sail with drinks from check-in catches people out.
- Ask the staff where the after-party actually is. The club is not always the one named in the listing, and guests have turned up at four different venues across seasons. Thirty seconds of asking before you step off the boat saves the whole group wandering.
- Ask a street promoter for a code before you book the night boat. Recent guests report paying around €15 rather than €20 after picking up a code from promoters working the Riva and the hostels, sometimes with club entry bundled. This is the one genuine saving available on this page.
- Bring a card and expect a minimum spend. Bars commonly enforce a card minimum of around €20, so buying a single beer can be awkward. Outside drinks, including water, are confiscated on the big boats.
- These boats sail in bad weather. Guests describe running through storms and heavy rain with the party carrying on regardless, so a poor forecast is unlikely to get you a refund or a rearranged date. That cuts both ways: the day goes ahead, but a wet six hours on an open deck is a different proposition.
- Check-in is punctual, departure often is not. The desk closes on the minute but boats have been reported sitting in the harbour an hour after the stated meeting time. Turn up on time, then expect to wait rather than planning anything tight around the sail.
How We Selected These Tours
Our team compared every boat party bookable in Split on rating, review volume, and the details that decide the day rather than the ones the titles repeat: which company actually runs it, where check-in happens, when the desk closes, and whether there is a swim stop at all. We kept seven that cover the genuine range: the two most-reviewed day boats, both night crawls, a smaller yacht party, a sunset departure and the one private charter. Prices, ratings and review counts come from the live listings. Operators, meeting points, timings and inclusions were cross-checked against operator websites and independent booking mirrors, which mattered here because several listings carry near-identical titles. Where sources disagreed we went with the operator's own published detail. Two listings we initially could not tell apart were separated by their check-in addresses, which is also why those addresses appear in the table. None of these operators publishes a passenger capacity, so we have left that out rather than repeat the varying figures found on resale sites.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a boat party in Split?+
Between €20 and €50 per person, plus €850 for the one private charter. The €20 tickets are night boat crawls of about four hours with no swim stop. The €40 to €50 tickets are six hour day cruises that include roughly an hour swimming at the Blue Lagoon. Drinks are extra on all of them.
What is the best boat party in Split?+
By review volume the best boat party in Split, Croatia is the Out to Sea Blue Lagoon trip, with 7,302 reviews at a flat 5.0, well ahead of the 3,380 on the next closest. It runs six hours from a 15:00 sail, includes an hour at the Blue Lagoon, professional photos and free club entry afterwards, all at €40.
Do Split boat parties include drinks?+
Only a welcome shot, and on the night crawls a free shot at each of the three venues. Everything else is bought on board, with recent guests reporting about €6 a beer, €8 a cocktail and €20 for a shared bucket. Outside alcohol is not allowed on the big boats, and one operator does not open its bars until 18:00, so budget drinks separately from the ticket.
What is the age limit for boat parties in Split?+
All six group listings specify a minimum of 18, because they are drinking events with nightclub entry attached. The private charter is the exception: it publishes no age policy at all, so ask the operator directly. If you are travelling with under-18s, a Blue Cave or island day trip covers the same water without the party format.
Do Split boat parties stop at the Blue Lagoon?+
The daytime ones do, for about an hour of swimming, and that stop is essentially what the higher price buys. The two €20 night boat parties do not stop to swim at all; they run a panoramic cruise of the lit coastline between a pre-party bar and a nightclub instead.
Where do Split boat parties leave from?+
Different waterfront bars, which catches people out. Out to Sea checks in at Jimmy Bar on Obala Lazareta 3, while Tipsea uses the Inbox Bar on Obala kneza Domagoja 1 by the Tuđman monument. Both are short walks from the Old Town, but they are separate addresses and check-in closes before departure.
Are Split boat parties good for solo travellers?+
Yes, and they are among the easier things in Split to do alone. The pre-party at a bar before boarding exists so people meet before the boat leaves, the decks are large and social, and the night crawls add drinking games and party guides. Solo guests consistently report having no trouble joining groups.
Is the day boat party or the night boat party better in Split?+
They suit different nights. The €40 day boat gives you six hours, an hour swimming at the Blue Lagoon and daylight on an open deck. The €20 night crawl gives you about four hours across three venues with club entry handled and no swim. If the turquoise water is what sold you, book the day boat.
